About the Founder

 

 

         Rev. Dr. Dhammika Kumari Pradhana was born in to a strong Buddhist family in Sri Lanka. She gave her life to Jesus in 1987 in Assemblies of God Church in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Then she was called for the ministry while she was a medical student in the university. She completed her medical degree and worked in both the Government and the private sectors, but she gave her first priority for the work of the Lord.

 

       When she planted her first church in Maho, Sri Lanka in 1994, 'Bethel' was the name given by the Holy Spirit for it. Glory be to God, that ministry is still growing.  

 

      She is a Naturopathic Doctor, acupuncturist, Psychiatric Counsellor, a journalist and also a published author. 

She took the Hippocratic Oath in Canada in 2011 as a Naturopathic Doctor and as a Registered Acupuncturist.

 

     Rev. Dr. Dhammika Kumari Pradhana completed her PhD in Pastoral Ministry from Newburgh theological seminary, Newburgh, Indiana, USA.  

 

     She is an Ordained Minister in the Canadian Association of Ministries and Pastors. 

And also she works as a faculty member in Ontario Bible Institute. She is the Adjunct Professor for Historical Books of the Bible.  

 

     She is continuing doing her ministry with the same name 'Bethel' given twenty years ago in Canada as 'Bethel Community Fellowship'.
